Elemental opens Earthbound; Enhancement opens Stormstrike; Restoration opens Mana Tide TotemThese are WoW Forever's new one-point milestone talents at 16 points.
Shamans have 50 talents, four more than in Classic: 12 new and 30 changed. Eight Classic talents are gone, five of them from Enhancement, including Weapon Mastery and Two-Handed Axes and Maces.
The 31-point talents are Elemental Mastery for Elemental, the new Rage of the Farseer for Enhancement and the new Riptide for Restoration. The 16-point talents are Earthbound, Stormstrike and Mana Tide Totem.
Beta build 1.60.1.70425 rebuilt the Elemental tree. Lava Burst moved down from row 7 to row 5, Elemental Mastery returned as the 31-point talent, Call of Thunder left the tree, and Trial by Fire replaced Improved Fire Nova. Eight Elemental talents changed position, and in Restoration, Tidal Focus and Totemic Focus swapped rows.
A WoW Forever Elemental Shaman spends most points in this tree. Earthbound, the 16-point talent, makes Earthbind Totem immobilize nearby targets when cast. Lava Burst in row 5 deals extra damage to targets with your Flame Shock, and Lightning Overload next to it gives Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning a chance to cast a second half-damage copy. Elemental Mastery needs Lava Burst and, for 15 sec, cuts the cast time of Lightning Bolt and Lava Burst by 0.5 sec and removes the cooldown of Chain Lightning. Trial by Fire strengthens Fire Nova and Magma Totem.
A WoW Forever Enhancement Shaman spends most points in this tree. Enhancement turns Intellect into damage: Mental Dexterity adds Attack Power and Mental Quickness adds spell damage and healing from Intellect. Maelstrom Weapon makes melee hits speed up and cheapen your next Lightning Bolt, Improved Stormstrike restores mana and can reset Stormstrike when you dodge or parry, Shamanistic Focus lowers Shock costs, and Rage of the Farseer raises attack speed by 30% for 25 seconds.
A WoW Forever Restoration Shaman spends most points in this tree. Mindfulness lets part of your mana regeneration continue while casting, Water Shield restores mana when you are hit or land a critical heal, and Riptide is a direct heal with a heal over time that strengthens Chain Heal on that target.
Every point you spend is written to the page address, so a WoW Forever Shaman build is saved the moment you make it. Copy the build link to post it in your guild chat or a guide; opening it restores the same points, level and Legacy Talented rank. Your last Shaman build also stays in this browser, and the Legacy talents planner works the same way for your account perks.
50, compared with 46 in Classic. 12 are new, 30 changed, 2 moved and 6 unchanged, and 8 Classic Shaman talents were removed.
Elemental Mastery in Elemental; Rage of the Farseer in Enhancement; Riptide in Restoration.
Earthbound, Lava Burst and Lightning Overload in Elemental; Mental Dexterity, Shamanistic Focus, Mental Quickness, Improved Stormstrike, Maelstrom Weapon and Rage of the Farseer in Enhancement; Mindfulness, Water Shield and Riptide in Restoration.
Lava Burst is the row 5 talent, reached with 20 points in Elemental. It is a Fire spell that deals 20% more damage when your Flame Shock is on the target, and it opens Elemental Mastery, the 31-point talent.
You get one talent point per level from level 10, so with every point in one tree you reach its one-point talents at levels 20, 25, 30 and 40. Elemental: Elemental Focus at level 20, Earthbound at 25, Lava Burst at 30 and Elemental Mastery at 40; Enhancement: Shamanistic Focus at level 20, Stormstrike at 25, Spirit Weapons at 30 and Rage of the Farseer at 40; Restoration: Water Shield at level 20, Mana Tide Totem at 25, Nature's Swiftness at 30 and Riptide at 40. Some need a prerequisite at max rank first, and the Legacy perk Talented moves each step up to 5 levels earlier. Set your level in the calculator to see exactly what fits.
Only as a stand-in. Blizzard says Enhancement Shamans keep their ability to generate high threat and serve as a temporary tank in small group gameplay. Improved Stormstrike can reset Stormstrike each time you dodge or parry, and Spirit Weapons, formerly Parry, is still in the tree, but Blizzard does not present Shamans as main tanks next to Warriors, Paladins and Druids.
It uses WoW Forever beta client build 1.60.1.70425, from the 15 October 2026 beta update, and the build and import date are shown at the top of the calculator. When Blizzard changes the Shaman trees in a new build, the trees, the talent reference and this page are updated and the change is listed in the changelog.
