WoW Forever Legacy Points are the currency of this system. The Legacy system is WoW Forever’s account-wide progression. You earn Legacy Points by completing Legacy challenges, such as reaching level 25, 45 and 60 on each class or defeating Onyxia, and every character on the account can spend the same points in its own three Legacy trees. At launch each character can spend 16 points.
Each tree has a few perks you can take at once and more that need points spent elsewhere in that tree first, usually 5 or 10. A few perks also need another perk at max rank, which the planner shows the same way as talent prerequisites.
Adventure is about leveling and travel: Well Rested speeds up rested experience, Talented starts talent points earlier, Field Guide shortens Camp cooldowns, and Frequent Flier makes flight paths cheaper and faster.
Resourcefulness lowers costs and raises gains: For Great Honor adds honor, Diplomat adds reputation, Reinforce reduces durability loss, and Reagent Economy removes vendor reagent costs from class abilities.
Professions helps gatherers and crafters: Bountiful Harvest finds more Scarce materials, Working Overtime raises skill-up chances, Master Chef can create extra food and Bartering lowers vendor prices.
Of all the WoW Forever Legacy talents, only Talented touches your talent points. It never raises the cap above 51, but at 5/5 it gives a level 40 character 36 talent points instead of 31. Use the WoW Forever talent calculator with the Legacy Talented option to see what that means for your class.
You earn Legacy Points from challenges anywhere on your account, and every character gets the same points to spend in its own three Legacy trees. Each character can spend up to 16 points at launch.
Adventure, Resourcefulness and Professions. Adventure covers leveling and travel, Resourcefulness covers costs, honor and reputation, and Professions covers gathering, crafting and vendors.
None gives more than 51. Talented starts your talent points earlier, at level 9 with one rank and level 5 with all five, so you have more points while leveling.
Barely. Most perks speed up leveling and professions or lower costs. Thrill of Adventure restores a little Health and Mana after kills, and none of the perks adds talents or raises the 51-point cap.
The beta client lists 65 Legacy challenges, each worth one point: 27 for reaching levels 25, 45 and 60 on each of the nine classes, 18 for reaching 150, 225 and 300 skill in the six crafting professions, 12 for PvP ranks, battleground reputations and Field of Honor weeks, 6 for dungeons and raids, and 2 others. Each character can spend 16 points at launch.
No. One character can earn up to 29 of the 65 points: 3 for leveling its own class, 6 for two crafting professions, 6 for dungeons and raids, 12 for PvP and 2 for the other challenges. That is more than the 16 points a character can spend at launch.
