Discipline opens Soul Warding; Holy opens Binding Heal; Shadow opens Vampiric EmbraceThese are WoW Forever's new one-point milestone talents at 16 points.
Priests have 52 talents, five more than in Classic: 14 new and 30 changed. Nine Classic talents left the trees. Divine Spirit is one of them, because Blizzard’s BlizzCon deep dive says it is now baseline, and Lightwell is gone from Holy.
The 31-point talents are Power Infusion for Discipline, the new Prayer of Mending for Holy and Shadowform for Shadow. The 16-point talents are Soul Warding, Binding Heal and Vampiric Embrace.
Beta build 1.60.1.70425 removed Shadow Affinity and Improved Fade from Shadow and added Dark Inspiration. In Discipline, Mental Strength moved up from row 4 to row 2, Improved Power Word: Shield moved down to row 3 and Improved Mana Burn moved to row 4, column 2; in Shadow, Improved Mind Blast moved up to row 2.
A WoW Forever Disc Priest spends most points in this tree. Discipline gets Penance as a 21-point talent, a channel that damages an enemy or heals an ally. Divine Aegis turns critical heals into absorb shields, Renewed Hope improves heals on targets with Weakened Soul, Soul Warding shortens Power Word: Shield and lowers its cost, and Twin Disciplines, Power in Light and Holy Precision support damage and instant spells.
A WoW Forever Holy Priest spends most points in this tree. Holy adds Binding Heal, which heals a target and you at once, Litany of Light, which restores mana when you alternate heals, and Prayer of Mending at 31 points, a heal that jumps between party members when they take damage.
A WoW Forever Shadow Priest spends most points in this tree. Shadow keeps Shadowform at 31 points with a larger critical damage bonus. Improved Mind Flay makes each tick of Mind Flay hit up to 20% harder than the one before, Dark Inspiration raises your party’s Spirit by up to 15% after Mind Blast or a full Mind Flay, Devouring Contagion lowers Devouring Plague’s cost and spreads it when a target dies, and Early Demise raises Shadow Word: Death’s critical chance on low-health targets.
Because Penance (21 points in Discipline) and Prayer of Mending (31 points in Holy) sit in different trees, a 51-point build cannot take both; plan the split in the calculator.
Every point you spend is written to the page address, so a WoW Forever Priest build is saved the moment you make it. Copy the build link to post it in your guild chat or a guide; opening it restores the same points, level and Legacy Talented rank. Your last Priest build also stays in this browser, and the Legacy talents planner works the same way for your account perks.
52, compared with 47 in Classic. 14 are new, 30 changed, 3 moved and 5 unchanged, and 9 Classic Priest talents were removed.
Power Infusion in Discipline; Prayer of Mending in Holy; Shadowform in Shadow.
Power in Light, Twin Disciplines, Holy Precision, Soul Warding, Penance, Renewed Hope and Divine Aegis in Discipline; Binding Heal, Litany of Light and Prayer of Mending in Holy; Improved Mind Flay, Dark Inspiration, Devouring Contagion and Early Demise in Shadow.
No. Penance needs 20 points in Discipline and Prayer of Mending needs 30 in Holy, which is more than 51 points allow.
You get one talent point per level from level 10, so with every point in one tree you reach its one-point talents at levels 20, 25, 30 and 40. Discipline: Inner Focus at level 20, Soul Warding at 25, Penance at 30 and Power Infusion at 40; Holy: Holy Nova at level 20, Binding Heal at 25, Spirit of Redemption at 30 and Prayer of Mending at 40; Shadow: Mind Flay at level 20, Vampiric Embrace at 25, Silence at 30 and Shadowform at 40. Some need a prerequisite at max rank first, and the Legacy perk Talented moves each step up to 5 levels earlier. Set your level in the calculator to see exactly what fits.
Yes. Discipline gets Penance as its 21-point talent: a channeled Holy spell with a 12 sec cooldown that hits three times, instantly and then every second for 2 sec, either damaging an enemy or healing an ally. Divine Aegis turns critical heals into shields, and Power in Light raises Smite and Penance damage on targets with your Holy Fire or Shadow Word: Pain.
It uses WoW Forever beta client build 1.60.1.70425, from the 15 October 2026 beta update, and the build and import date are shown at the top of the calculator. When Blizzard changes the Priest trees in a new build, the trees, the talent reference and this page are updated and the change is listed in the changelog.
