Holy opens Divine Favor; Protection opens Swift Judgement; Retribution opens Sacred ArbiterThese are WoW Forever's new one-point milestone talents at 16 points.
Paladins gained more new talents than any other class: 50 talents instead of Classic’s 44, with 18 new talents and 23 changed ones. Twelve Classic Paladin talents left the trees. Several became baseline: Blizzard’s BlizzCon deep dive says Consecration is now a level 20 ability for every Paladin and Blessing of Kings is baseline, so neither costs a talent point any more.
The 31-point talents are Light’s Vigil for Holy, Holy Shield for Protection and Twist of Light for Retribution. The 16-point talents are Divine Favor, Swift Judgement and Sacred Arbiter.
A WoW Forever Holy Paladin spends most points in this tree. Holy gains mana and casting tools. Reverence lets part of your mana regeneration continue while casting, Voice of Truth makes you immune to silence and interrupts for 6 seconds, and Infusion of Light turns Holy Shock and Flash of Light critical hits into a faster next Holy Light. Divine Precision and Consecrated Ground support Holy damage. Light’s Vigil is the new 31-point talent: it marks a target for 30 seconds, and your next Holy Shock on them triggers no cooldown and refunds 75% of Light’s Vigil’s own mana cost.
This is the tree a WoW Forever Prot Paladin fills first. Protection is built around the new Seal of Fury and Holy Strike. Improved Seal of Fury restores mana when the seal’s shield is used up, Sacred Duty adds Stamina and shortens Divine Shield, Divine Protection and Templar’s Bulwark, and Templar’s Bulwark is a new absorb shield equal to your maximum health. Iron Creed adds threat and damage reduction to Holy Strike while Righteous Fury is active.
A WoW Forever Ret Paladin spends most points in this tree. Retribution leans on Holy Strike, Judgement and seals. Sacred Arbiter makes Holy Strike refresh Judgements, Sanctified Judgement refunds seal mana, Champion of the Light turns Intellect into spell damage, and Twist of Light, the 31-point talent, gives you an Echo of your old seal when you switch seals.
Every point you spend is written to the page address, so a WoW Forever Paladin build is saved the moment you make it. Copy the build link to post it in your guild chat or a guide; opening it restores the same points, level and Legacy Talented rank. Your last Paladin build also stays in this browser, and the Legacy talents planner works the same way for your account perks.
50, compared with 44 in Classic. 18 are new, 23 changed, 4 moved and 5 unchanged, and 12 Classic Paladin talents were removed.
Light's Vigil in Holy; Holy Shield in Protection; Twist of Light in Retribution.
Voice of Truth, Reverence, Purifying Power, Infusion of Light, Divine Precision, Consecrated Ground and Light's Vigil in Holy; Improved Seal of Fury, Sacred Duty, Swift Judgement, Templar's Bulwark and Iron Creed in Protection; Holy Conduit, Sanctified Judgement, Sacred Arbiter, Champion of the Light, Instrument of Law and Twist of Light in Retribution.
Blizzard made Consecration a baseline Paladin ability at level 20, so it left the Holy tree. Holy talents such as Consecrated Ground still build on it.
You get one talent point per level from level 10, so with every point in one tree you reach its one-point talents at levels 20, 25, 30 and 40. Holy: Voice of Truth at level 20, Divine Favor at 25, Holy Shock at 30 and Light's Vigil at 40; Protection: Improved Seal of Fury at level 20, Swift Judgement at 25, Templar's Bulwark at 30 and Holy Shield at 40; Retribution: Seal of Command at level 20, Sacred Arbiter at 25, Repentance at 30 and Twist of Light at 40. Some need a prerequisite at max rank first, and the Legacy perk Talented moves each step up to 5 levels earlier. Set your level in the calculator to see exactly what fits.
Blizzard's Paladin deep dive says Retribution Paladins remain strong damage dealers with more consistency and more Holy damage. Its 31-point talent, Twist of Light, makes seal twisting easier: when you swap Seal of Command, Righteousness, Fury or Justice for another seal, your next melee attack still applies the old seal, and seals cost 20% less Mana. Sacred Arbiter makes Holy Strike refresh your Judgements.
It uses WoW Forever beta client build 1.60.1.70425, from the 15 October 2026 beta update, and the build and import date are shown at the top of the calculator. When Blizzard changes the Paladin trees in a new build, the trees, the talent reference and this page are updated and the change is listed in the changelog.
