## Summary

Plan WoW Forever Hunter talents across Beast Mastery, Marksmanship and Survival and see what changed from Classic.

## Content

## WoW Forever Hunter talents at a glance

Hunters have 50 talents, four more than in Classic. Fifteen are new and 24 changed. Eleven Classic Hunter talents are gone from the trees, among them the slaying talents of Survival. Aimed Shot left the Marksmanship tree too, but not the game: every Hunter now learns it at level 20, according to Blizzard's Hunter deep dive.

The 31-point talents are Bestial Wrath (unchanged), the new Sniper Shot for Marksmanship and the new Lacerating Strikes for Survival. The 16-point talents are Summon Hawk, Trueshot Aura and Counterattack.

## Beast Mastery

A WoW Forever Beast Mastery Hunter spends most points in this tree. Beast Mastery stays close to Classic. **Focused Fire** raises the damage you and your pet deal, and **Summon Hawk** is a new active ability that sends a hawk to attack your target for 18 seconds. Bestial Wrath is unchanged.

## Marksmanship

A WoW Forever Marksmanship Hunter spends most points in this tree. Marksmanship is reworked around shots and a petless option. **Careful Aim** turns Intellect into Attack Power, **Rapid Killing** shortens Rapid Fire and empowers your next Shot after a kill, and **Lone Wolf** gives 20% more damage while you have no active pet. **Rapid Recuperation** restores mana while casting, and **Sniper Shot** is a long-range shot that extends the range of your next three Shots.

## Survival

A WoW Forever Survival Hunter spends most points in this tree. Survival becomes a melee specialization. **Predator's Edge** raises melee critical damage and off-hand damage, **Strider Kick** is a new kick with a speed burst, **Expose Prey** lets attacks on targets with Hunter's Mark open Mongoose Bite, and **Lacerating Strikes** makes Mongoose Bite cause a bleed. **Resourcefulness** and **Survivalist's Discipline** make traps cheaper and faster.

## Save and share a WoW Forever Hunter build

Every point you spend is written to the page address, so a WoW Forever Hunter build is saved the moment you make it. Copy the build link to post it in your guild chat or a guide; opening it restores the same points, level and Legacy Talented rank. Your last Hunter build also stays in this browser, and the [Legacy talents planner](/tools/legacy-talents) works the same way for your account perks.

## Runs in your browser

The calculator runs in this browser tab. Your build lives in the page address and in this browser's local storage; nothing is sent to a server.

## How to use the Hunter Talent Calculator

- Set the level you want to plan for; the Hunter trees keep the build inside that many points.
- Spend points from the top of Beast Mastery, Marksmanship and Survival. Each row needs five more points above it in the same tree.
- Follow the lines between icons; a linked talent opens only when the talent above it is at max rank.
- Turn on Compare to Classic to see which Hunter talents are new, changed or moved.
- Copy the build link to share your Hunter talents.

## Inputs

- Character level and Legacy Talented rank
- Points in each Hunter talent

## Outputs

- Points left and the level the build needs
- Rank text for each Hunter talent
- A shareable Hunter build link

## Limitations

- The Hunter trees come from beta client build 1.60.1.70425 and can change before or after the 4 November launch.
- Tooltip numbers are level 60 values with no gear.

## FAQ

- **How many talents do Hunters have in WoW Forever?**: 50, compared with 46 in Classic. 15 are new, 24 changed, 3 moved and 8 unchanged, and 11 Classic Hunter talents were removed.
- **What are the 31-point Hunter talents in WoW Forever?**: Bestial Wrath in Beast Mastery; Sniper Shot in Marksmanship; Lacerating Strikes in Survival.
- **Which Hunter talents are new in WoW Forever?**: Focused Fire and Summon Hawk in Beast Mastery; Careful Aim, Rapid Killing, Lone Wolf, Rapid Recuperation and Sniper Shot in Marksmanship; Improved Tracking, Survival Tactics, Predator's Edge, Resourcefulness, Expose Prey, Survivalist's Discipline, Strider Kick and Lacerating Strikes in Survival.
- **Is Aimed Shot gone in WoW Forever?**: No, it just left the talent tree. Blizzard's Hunter deep dive says Aimed Shot is now a baseline ability for every Hunter at level 20, and it now shares a cooldown with Multi-Shot instead of Arcane Shot. Sniper Shot replaces it as the 31-point Marksmanship talent.
- **Which Hunter talents can I get while leveling in WoW Forever?**: You get one talent point per level from level 10, so with every point in one tree you reach its one-point talents at levels 20, 25, 30 and 40. Beast Mastery: Bestial Swiftness at level 20, Summon Hawk at 25, Intimidation at 30 and Bestial Wrath at 40; Marksmanship: Lone Wolf at level 20, Trueshot Aura at 25, Scatter Shot at 30 and Sniper Shot at 40; Survival: Deterrence at level 20, Counterattack at 25, Strider Kick at 30 and Lacerating Strikes at 40. Some need a prerequisite at max rank first, and the Legacy perk Talented moves each step up to 5 levels earlier. Set your level in the calculator to see exactly what fits.
- **Can a Hunter's pet tank in WoW Forever?**: In solo and small group play, yes. Blizzard says Hunters have one combat role, damage, but can use their pet as a tank in solo and small group play, and pets now gain stats from their Hunter's gear instead of from player buffs.
- **Is this WoW Forever Hunter talent calculator up to date?**: It uses WoW Forever beta client build 1.60.1.70425, from the 15 October 2026 beta update, and the build and import date are shown at the top of the calculator. When Blizzard changes the Hunter trees in a new build, the trees, the talent reference and this page are updated and the change is listed in the changelog.
